The Interested Ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc.

The Interested Ladies of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc. is the official interest group of the sorority, serving as a means for interested women to become acquainted with the sorority and its sisters. It also serves as an outlet for women to come together and work in unison on educational and cultural projects. Thus, this subgroup of the sorority helps interested ladies to become leaders and to gain experience in running an organization.

As the FIRST Latin Sorority in the Nation ever to cater towards the needs of minorities and women, Lambda Theta Alpha recognizes the importance of reaching out to others and forming a united coalition of professional, diverse, culturally and politically aware women. We are not an exclusive group and believe that all women alike should be given an opportunity to make their mark on the world. This is our right and our profound legacy.

The main goals of the interest group are to establish working and social relationships with the sisters and with the other interested ladies. By their collaborative efforts, the interest group gains essential insight as to what Lambda Theta Alpha is - an organization, a Sisterhood based on Unity, Love, & Respect, and a group of women dedicated to the empowerment of minorities and the Universal Woman through education, love of culture, and surrounding communities.

Being a member of the interest group can be a rewarding experience because you are able to work closely with friends, give back to the community, and educate yourself at the same time. However, being part of the interest group is not mandatory and does not guarantee membership to the sorority.

Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc. Does Not Rush

Instead, the sisters of Lambda Theta Alpha present regular socials and informational sessions that introduce interested ladies to the sorority and give them more information regarding the process of joining our sorority, including information on becoming a part of the Interest Group.
