Reason for Pledging: Every since high school I wanted to join a sorority because I joined the Sociedad de las Rosas, which was like a mock sorority. Then when I came into college there wasn’t one in which I felt I truly belonged to. I found out that there were interests for LTA at Mason and joined them in the beginning on my second semester. I had already researched the organization and truly believed in everything that it stood for: academic excellence, empowerment of the universal women, political activism, community service all the other things LTA has to offer. Then once in the Interest Group I felt that I fitted right in with the ladies, they have a lot to offer and always are there when you need a helping hand, and that was really important when I decided to pledge. |
