Reason for Pledging:  Since high school I wanted to join a sorority because I joined the Sociedad de las Rosas, which was like a mock sorority. Then, when I came to college there wasn't an organization in which I felt I could truly belong to. I found out that there were interests for LTA at Mason and joined them in the beginning of my second semester. I had already researched the organization and truly believed in everything that it stood for: academic excellence, empowerment of the universal woman, political activism, community service all the other things LTA has to offer. Once in the Interest Group, I felt that I fitted right in with the ladies; they had a lot to offer and always were there when you needed a helping hand, and that was really important when I decided to pledge.
