Reason for Pledging: Coming into college I was looking for an organization where I could be myself, find an academic support system, and build friendships. I found all of that and more in LTA. I joined LTA because it shared the principles that I valued: Unity, Love, and Respect. Sisters were always very welcoming and open. With time I was able to build genuine and unbreakable bonds with interests and Sisters. As an interest I had gained a lot of respect and admiration for the diversity of the organization because it was a support system not only for Latinas but for all cultural backgrounds. Also the professionalism and success of the sorority was very appealing. I knew that I wanted to be surrounded by the same motivation and drive I saw in Sisters. I wanted to be and represent the Universal Woman.
